K9 Training Apprentice
About Us:
Alpha Pack K9s, LLC is a full-service professional dog training company located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to bridge the gap between owners/handlers, and their canines through education, consistency, clear communication, and simple yet effective practical balanced training, in real time. We take pride in delivering high levels of care, and a genuinely honest approach on how to create and maintain a successful relationship while living harmoniously with the dog in front of you. We are a passion driven, fast paced, energetic team who loves dogs. We value the bonds we build with our clients and their canines.
Working as a K9 Training Apprentice:
Apprentice Dog Trainers work alongside our head trainers on a daily basis with a large variety of dogs in a fast-paced environment. They spend time learning our renowned training techniques, methodology and canine behaviors while assisting in the care and proper handling of the dogs. All our trainers are required to participate in yearly continuing education seminars. Hard work is recognized and we fully support and encourage individualized growth.
Job Requirements
Duties:

Working with a team to train dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments.

Assisting with the care of the dogs.
-
Speaking to clients regarding their dog’s training.
-
Working with clients to enable them to continue training at home.
-
Handling and training small and large breeds from puppy to adult.

Working with dogs needing behavior modification from basic to anxiety and/or aggression.

Traveling to appointments in the Lancaster, York, Harrisburg and surrounding, Pennsylvania areas.

Continuing education and increasing skill in training, both dogs and human.

Attend monthly events.

Must be comfortable working in front of a camera - social media/marketing platforms and owner update videos.

Drug and Alcohol-free workplace.

Must pass Background Check.

Home Inspection required regularly.
Job Requirements

Must reside in or around the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area.

Must be able to board at least 1-2 dogs safely at your home in a temperature-controlled environment.

Must have a working iPhone.
-
Must carry and show proof of liability insurance.
-
Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
-
Must complete a yearlong apprenticeship.
